Ag Education Assistant for Education & Promotion
 
Position Title:                   Ag Education Assistant-Public Relations Division (Part Time)
           
This position reports to:              Director of Public Relations, Marketing, Education & Promotion; with direct day-to-day guidance from Education Manager
 
Position regularly works with: Education & Promotion Manager
 
General Description:
Performs a variety of duties including computer-based responsibilities, program scheduling support, and class presentations on behalf of Ag Education’s program, Ag in the Classroom. This includes any administrative duties the ag education manager may need to assign.
 
Competencies required:
Strong verbal and presentation skills, strong computer skills, attention to detail and organized for multiple tasks.
 
Traits needed:
Competence. Must be able to prioritize work projects, and assure that commitments are fulfilled as requested. Strong people skills, self-initiative, friendly, and cooperative professional demeanor. 
 
Principal responsibilities:
1.                  Provide presentation, scheduling and clerical support to the Ag Education area in the Public Relations Division. 
2.                  Generate correspondence, certificates, brochures and other documents as needed for education & promotion.
3.                  Coordinate restocking of materials and distribution of curriculum kits.
4.                  Assist with large projects and mailings as needed.
5.                  Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Outlined Duties Specific to the areas:
AITC
  • Lesson Copies
  • Kit Duplication (Has many parts to each one)
  • Help managing scheduling
  • Work on Brochures
  • Website and Facebook Updates
  • Keep up-to-date school contact information & teachers
  • School Mailings
  • Volunteer coordination
 
Ideal Education/Experience required:

Undergraduate degree in education with teaching experience. Must be willing to travel (in state and mainly Maricopa County) to give ag education presentations.
