Reservations are being accepted for the 2007 Women in Agriculture Conference to be held at the Four Points by Sheraton Phoenix Metrocenter on July 13. Hosted by the Arizona Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee (WLC) and the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the 11th annual conference is open to men and women interested in improving leadership, professional and personal skills.
“The conference theme is Live, Love and Laugh,” says WLC State Chair Ann Palmer of Elfrida. “We all strive to be successful in our personal life as well as our work outside the home. Join us in this opportunity to refresh and regenerate our emotional well being.”
Plan to laugh during the presentations, celebrate what you do in your life and in agriculture and walk away with a new feeling of love in everything you do.
American Farm Bureau will present For the Love of It,a powerful video and educational piece by Dewitt Jones, National Geographic photographer. In the video Dewitt discusses how we all have the ability to love what we do through honoring our passion, making a contribution to those around us, and expressing gratitude.
Accommodations are available at the Four Points by Sheraton Phoenix Metrocenter, 10220 North Metro Parkway East for $74 per night, single or double occupancy. To guarantee the rate, call the hotel directly at (602) 331-9873 or (800) 368-7764. June 19 is the deadline for the reduced-rate rooms.
