Arizona Agriculture Celebrates Farm Animal Appreciation Day
ARIZONA, October 10, 2007 – Arizona farmers and ranchers have proclaimed October 23 as Farm Animal Appreciation Day. On that day, agriculturalists call on consumers around Arizona to celebrate Arizona’s healthy and nutritious food supply. By adopting a healthy and balanced diet that includes Arizona meat, eggs and milk, Arizona farmers and ranchers say, each person can ensure a healthy lifestyle. Free breakfast will be served.
The free breakfast will be offered to the first 200 commuters and area residents to come by Dutchview Dairy beginning 6:00 a.m. to participate in an Arizona grown and raised breakfast. You’ll also have an opportunity to learn more about Arizona Agriculture.
“On the 23rd, if you make it to Dutchview Dairy you’ll be able to save $3.90 for your next Grande cappuccino. That’s more than the wholesale cost of the breakfast we’re serving,” says Clint Hickman, vice president of sales for Hickman Family Farms. “Plus, you’ll make it to work or your next destination fully energized after eating a healthy, well-balanced breakfast produced by Arizona farmers and ranchers. The meal we’re never supposed to miss.”
