AZFB President Kevin Rogers Appointed to AFBF's Executive Committee

Arizona Farm Bureau President Kevin Rogers has been appointed to the executive committee of the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), a six-member executive committee representing the largest voluntary agriculture organization in the United States.

The AFBF executive committee is comprised of the president, vice president and one member from each of the four agriculture regions in the country.

A cotton, hay, wheat, corn and barley farmer in the Phoenix Valley, Rogers is in the middle of his two-year term representing the western region on AFBF’s Board of Directors.
“I am surprised and honored that AFBF President Bob Stallman announced he was appointing me, along with three others from their respective regions, to the executive committee,” says Rogers. “This opportunity allows me to continue to serve and advocate for Arizona in a very influential place. For Arizona agriculture, I hope to make priorities of agriculture’s labor needs, animal welfare, finalizing the farm bill and agriculture-centric transportation issues. Additionally, air quality will be important.”

Bob Stallman was re-elected president of the American Farm Bureau Federation and Barry Bushue, a nursery and berry producer from Oregon, was elected AFBF vice president at the 89th American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting this week in New Orleans.
