AZFB's Fill Your Plate Directory Now Helps You Discover the Farmers' Markets that Feature Your Favorite Farmers

 
 
ARIZONA, July 20, 2009 – The Arizona Farm Bureau’s online farmer/rancher directory, Fill Your Plate, will now help you find out what Farmers’ Markets your favorite farmer can be found at.
 
Farmers and ranchers featured on Fill Your Plate now list the Farmers’ Markets they serve. This information is provided as a convenience to Fill Your Plate users.
 
For example, Maya of Maya’s Farm serves three different markets: Downtown Phoenix Public Market, Old Town Scottsdale Market and the Farm at South Mountain. You’ll find this in her directory listing “Maya’s Farm.”
 
While not all farmers and ranchers on Fill Your Plate serve a specific market, you can still contact them to set up special delivery arrangements based on your purchase needs.
 
If you’re looking for a special food item and want to buy it locally, go to www.fillyourplate.org to discover if it’s available. While you cannot purchase directly through Fill Your Plate, producers’ web sites are provided and additional contact information is given. And now with the recipe feature, users can plan an entire week’s menu.
