Latest Federal Phytosanitary Fees
Following the process established last year for the calculation of fees for Federal Phytosanitary Certificates issued by the Arizona Department of Agriculture (ADA), the fee is expected to fall within the State's FY09. The fee is expected to run $44 to $46 per certificate.
The current fee (FY08) is $36. The fee calculation will be finalized following the close of ADA’s fiscal year in June with an implementation date of July 1, 2008 for the new fee.
Be advised that the department's hourly cost per employee and travel costs per mile have risen, along with fewer certificates being issued, resulting in the higher fee projection.
