Stretch Your Food Dollar Menu VIII
Arizona Farm Bureau put together a menu to help you stretch your food dollar by utilizing items that have gone down in price. This quarter’s items down in price are apples, potatoes, ground beef, sirloin tip roast, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, orange juice, vegetable oil, toasted oat cereal and white bread. Arizona Farm Bureau recommends stocking up on dairy and meat items as they are ideally priced. Menu for the Week:
 
Sunday:                 Beef Roast with veggies

Monday:                Ham & Potato Casserole
                                 Italian Bread

Tuesday:               Beef Tacos

Wednesday:         Ground Beef Stroganoff
                                Apple Pear Salad
                                Milk or Iced Tea
                               
 
Thursday:             Frittata with Bacon and Potatoes

Friday:                   Asian Lettuce Wraps
                               Crunchy Apple Salad

1 small jar peanuts- roasted/salted
1 Box Toasted oat cereal
1 large can Refried beans

Produce:
5 lbs potatoes
2 bags classic salad mix
5 -8 lbs apples
1 bunch celery
3 medium yellow onions
2 garlic cloves
2 large pears
1 bunch green onions
1 head iceberg lettuce
1 lemon
1 lb baby peeled carrots
 
Meats:
4-5  lbs pot roast
3-lbs ground beef
1 lbs bacon
1 lb sliced ham
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Dairy:
2 gallons milk
4-cup bag of shredded cheese
2 dozen eggs
 Butter
   
Pantry items you might have on hand:
Cinnamon                    
Cloves
Sugar              
Ketchup
Soy Sauce
Brown sugar

Salt & Pepper             
Mayonnaise

12 count rolls
1 loaves Italian bread
1 package Taco shells
