Ag Literacy Events

AZFB AITC offers several Ag Literacy Events throughout the year. These 30-minute presentations are designed for the K-2 classroom. As students become more and more disconnected from the farm and their food, it is important that we show them where their food is coming from and who it is that is producing it. These standards-based presentations are offered for FREE to Arizona Teachers. To schedule your spot in an Ag Literacy Event please email scheduleaitc@azfb.org.  Books are now open for scheduling. Be sure to join our email list if you have not already!

We are excited to celebrate America’s 250th and showcase the importance of agriculture throughout this time while highlighting the technology and changes that have shaped the industry into what it is today. This year, we will be offering a 250-Year Presentation and Bundle. Teachers in grades 3rd-5th can sign up for this 45-minute presentation that includes experts from the story of Farmer George Plants a Nation. This story about George Washington and his visions and success on the farm showcases the ingenuity that farmers have always had. The first 250 teachers to sign up will get to keep the book for their classroom library. Students will receive a patriot bracelet reminding them that with NO FARMS there is NO FOOD.
