Agricultural Guestworker Act
A new bill written by Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) proposes to create an "H-2C" guest worker program, run by the USDA. This bill is known as the Agricultural Guestworker Act, or "AG Act."
This bill represents one of the first serious proposals for guest labor reform in more than a decade. Although the bill is far from perfect in many respects, it is a welcome starting point for filling Arizona agriculture's need for a reliable, legal workforce.
