The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking dairy farms and ranches that may be able to temporarily house and care for cattle displaced by recent wildland fires.
BLM is looking to identify facilities that can provide safe and reliable livestock holding space for up to two years. The effort is intended to help match available locations with ranchers in need of forage or a place to feed cattle.
The RFI is for information-gathering purposes only and is not a contract solicitation.
Applicants do not need to qualify as base property or obtain additional permits to respond.
Responses are due by September 21. Interested producers should review the full RFI for details and submission instructions.
