How well is your area served by broadband? The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released the National Broadband Map in November. The new map displays specific-location level information regarding broadband service availability. The public has the opportunity to review the map and determine if the fixed and mobile services noted on the map for a specific address is accurate and to challenge the information if it is not correct.
We encourage members to review the data reported on the map, as it will determine federal funding opportunities for improving service is most the needed areas.
The public has until January 13th to review the maps and submit challenges to the FCC. Additional information about the map and how to use the FFC site can be found here.
