Two weeks ago, I had the honor of hanging out with the Capream Dream Team, as I now call them, on Rosie on the House. Gary Carder, Gerald Rogers and Gregory O’Reilly are three guys on a mission to introduce Arizona families to tasty goat milk, gelato and sandwiches. We learned more about that June 1 on the “Farm Fresh” hour on Rosie on the House.

As they like to explain, Capream Dairy was established in 2009 in Prescott, Arizona and is a fully operational “USDA Grade A” Goat Dairy. Their premium milk, provided by their rare 100% Swiss Oberhasli Dairy Goat herd, can be found in a variety of stores throughout the valley (The podcast below tells you where).  They specialize in the manufacture of Premium Goat’s Milk, Gelato, Cheese and are about to release a new ice cream sandwich product. As of right now, Capream is the only goat dairy providing USDA Grade A goat milk and gelato.

During the June 1 radio show, Gary, Gerald and Greg offered to give away pints of gelato if listeners showed up to the AJ’s store on Camelback and mentioned that they’d heard the guys on Rosie On the House. Well, they were able to give away plenty of gelato to attentive Rosie on the House listeners that day.

The woman sitting down in the photo above is a newly-minted customer. She heard the Capream Dream Team on the radio. Her granddaughter happens to be married to their Lead Milker. She did not know that Capream was going to be profiled on the radio, but, after listening, she was compelled to come to AJ’s to meet the team.

“It’s always exciting to share our products and engage with the public about Capream and Arizona Agribusiness,” said Greg O’Reilly, who serves as business development manager for Capream.

As Farm Bureau members, Capream enjoys the opportunities provided for them to talk about their goat herd, the quality of their products and the future of farming in Arizona. But, a better way to find all this out is to listen to the commercial-free podcast below.
