Function: Arizona Cotton Growers is a well-respected Agriculture Commodity Organization located in Phoenix, Arizona representing all Cotton Growers and Agriculture-related industries in the State of Arizona.  A search is underway for a qualified candidate to serve as the Executive Director to the Arizona Cotton Growers. (ACGA)  A comprehensive list of duties can be supplied upon request.  Chief among those duties will be to manage the staff and coordinate volunteer leaders in a positive and aggressive manner to implement ACGA policy.

Authority: Approve expenditures within the approved budgets established by the Board of Directors. Sign corporate documents. Perform other duties relating to custody of corporate documents and customary to the office of Executive Director as provided by the bylaws.

Responsibility: The Executive Director must recognize the value of regular communications

between the President, Board of Directors, staff, membership and the industry. Develop systems that encourage a smooth transfer of information and ideas on an ongoing basis; and build understanding and support for the vision and goals of the ACGA.  Will be required to attend meetings and conferences as directed by President and Board of Directors.

Supervise the preparation of annual budgets and programs of work for the ACGA.

Reportability: Reports to the President and Board of Directors.

Qualifications and Educational Requirement:  This position requires excellent communication skills; both verbal and written. The responsible party should have at least 5 years administrative experience in office management.   A minimum of a BS in Business, Agriculture, or equivalent experience.  A knowledge and understanding of Arizona law/statutes and experience in Lobbying at both the State and National level will be very beneficial in this position.

Relationships: Enhance the image of ACGA and promote ACGA values through

public relations and membership growth. Guard and maintain ACGA alliances

with fellow industry organizations, national cotton organizations and governmental entities at both Local and National level.

Compensation:  Negotiable.
